Service Description

Stress Incontinence Stress incontinence is the most common form of urinary incontinence, particularly among women. It is often caused by factors such as childbirth, aging, or menopause, as these conditions can weaken or stretch the pelvic floor muscles. As these muscles lose strength, they become less effective at supporting the bladder and urethra. As a result, when pressure is applied to the pelvic area—such as when sneezing, coughing, standing, jumping, or lifting heavy objects—leakage may occur. This can be both uncomfortable and embarrassing. Post-menopausal stress incontinence is widespread, with many women experiencing varying degrees of pelvic floor weakness. For some, this manifests as frequent trips to the bathroom or the need to consciously engage the muscles around the bladder during activities like laughing, jumping, or lifting heavy objects. For other women, the condition can be more severe, significantly affecting daily life. Frequent nighttime bathroom visits, the constant search for nearby restrooms, and the costs of incontinence products can all take a toll. Stress incontinence is often considered a chronic condition, meaning it typically doesn’t improve without treatment. For those with more severe cases, many treatment options involve surgery or invasive procedures, which carry risks and lengthy recovery times. Procedures like colposuspension, sling surgery, or vaginal mesh implants have been used, but these treatments have sometimes led to permanent, debilitating side effects. Fortunately, there are now non-surgical alternatives available to help women manage stress incontinence after menopause, offering a safer option with minimal risk of surgery and infection. One of the most effective solutions is the pelvic floor chair, which uses High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy to stimulate and strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. In just one 28-minute session, the pelvic floor chair works by performing exercises similar to Kegels, but at a much more intense level. The HIFEM energy causes the pelvic floor muscles to contract repeatedly, simulating the effects of thousands of Kegel exercises in a single session. This targeted stimulation helps to improve muscle tone, restore strength, and reduce the symptoms of stress incontinence. The treatment is non-invasive, requires no recovery time, and has been proven to significantly improve pelvic floor function and overall bladder control.
